Van Temple came from Knoxville, Tennessee where my father hired him as a Retail Salesman for General Foods Corp. He was layed off from GF, and the next time we heard from him he was working in Atlanta for a radio station. The studio was in the Merchandise Mart, and was later moved out on Boulevard near the Federal Prison. I use to visit him while he was on the air. It was during that time that he recorded the "It's a Riot" LP records. Van was truly a "Riot".
