Born this day in 1915, Emil Sitka was a foil for the Three Stooges. He was going to replace Larry Fine (see photo), but Moe became ill and the act disbanded. He died 01/16/1998 from a massive stroke at age 82.

Born this day in 1917, Gene Rayburn hosted "The Match Game." He was the announcer on the Tonight Show when Steve Allen was host. He died 11/29/1999 of congestive heart failure at age 81.

 

Died this day in 1971, Godfried Bomans was a Dutch humorist and writer. Born 03/02/1913, he died of a heart attack at 58.
