Arthur Mullard
Died this day in 1995 Arthur Mullard, English comedian, a straight man for Tony Hancock, Frankie Howerd and Benny Hill, then in Arthur Askey Show. Romany Jones, first aired in 1973, gave Mullard his highest profile, playing Wally Briggs, a crafty caravan-dweller. Born 11/10/1913, he died in his sleep at age 82
